Rep. Rothman Welcomes Students to Washington, DC

(Washington, DC)— On Thursday, May 18, Congressman Steve Rothman (D-NJ) welcomed a group of 7th and 8th grade students and teachers from the Solomon Schechter Day School in New Milford, New Jersey. During a lengthy question and answer session, Rep. Rothman discussed the crisis in Darfur, immigration, and the war in Iraq. He also explained his role on the House Appropriations Committee and the votes taking place that day. The students were in town as part of an annual trip to Washington, DC organized by the school.
