Applause for Physics Whiz from Fair Lawn, NJ

(Washington, DC)— On Thursday, May 25, Congressman Steve Rothman (D-NJ) met with Bergen County Academies senior Jiashuo Feng, Fair Lawn, one of 24 finalists for the 2006 U.S. Physics Team. Jiashuo was the only student from New Jersey selected to compete for one of five slots on the U.S. team. Congressman Rothman congratulated Jiashuo on his accomplishments, after which the energetic student demonstrated how a wheel built with magnets can rotate in midair. Jiashuo, a physics student of Dr. Sankaran Vijaya at the Academies, will attend Harvard University in the fall.
